Thursday, 5/28/15- B Day- Advisory Schedule

Learning Objective:

To model a bridge’s ability to support a load based on the interplay of tension and compression forces that result in a net force of zero

Learning Activities:

  1. Do Now- Get out the Popsicle Bridge- Design Your Own Bridge packet and Write down on the colored strip of paper the 2 forces at work on bridges and their definitions.
  2. Cue- Bridge Design Part 1 and Bridge Design Part 2 MIT K12 video segments
  3. Model- “Design Your Own Bridge”- Construction Phase- During construction, you may decide that you need additional sticks or that your design needs to change. This is OK- just revise your plan.
