Thursday, 12/10/15- A Day

Learning Objective:

The changes of state that occur with variations in temperature or pressure can be described and predicted using models of matter

Learning Activities:

  1. Do Now- Copy down today’s homework assignment in your planner; Get out the worksheet that we were working on in class yesterday with questions 2-4 on the front and questions 5-7 on the back; Solve the following riddle-“What do you get when you cross an automobile with a household animal?”
  2. Molecular Models (complete)– Show conduction in room temperature spoon in hot water & hot spoon in room temperature water. Write-Pair-Share to answer questions 2-4 and 5-7
  3. Animation- Conducting Energy- Use conduction to explain common phenomena. Write-Pair-Share to answer questions 9-11
  4. Organize your notebook! Tape the lab handout on p.43, the spoon molecular models on p.42, and the summaries of Cornell notes as flip page to p.41

Complete questions 9-11 on worksheet
