Learning Activities:

  1. Do now– Get out your science notebook and add to the Table of Contents- “Evaporation Animation p.46” (Left Side); Open to page 46 and head it properly with “Evaporation-Animation-12/17/15;” Solve the following riddle: Mary’s father has 4 children. Three are named Nana, Nene, and Nini. So what is the 4th child’s name?
  2. Animations– Use the animations of evaporation on a molecular level, space-filling model of water molecules, and liquid water vs water vapor to answer questions 4-6 (in pairs/groups)
  3. Design an experiment– How does the addition of energy affect the rate of evaporation? (Table Group Work Responsibilities)
  4. Understanding Connections-Put the statement on the Understanding Connections pages p.28-29 of your science notebook
