Remember: As long as you act like a scientist when we do science, you will be treated like a scientist and conduct investigations. If not, you get to watch the rest of us do science.

  • To describe all positions of objects and the directions of forces & motions in an arbitrarily chosen frame of reference

Learning Activities:

  1. Do Now– Copy down today’s homework assignment in your planner; Get out your science notebook and add to the Table of Contents- “Motion Investigation p.96” (Left Side); Head page 96 properly for today’s experiment with “Motion-Investigation-5/5/16.”
  2. Investigation Experiment– How does the speed of your motion affect the time it takes to walk a certain distance? Model possible procedure & point out where supplies are. Reminder of lab safety expectations & cooperative table group member responsibilities. Conduct investigation!
