Tuesday, 10/31/17- B Day- Happy Halloween!

Question:

Are other objects that produce music also moving back and forth when they make sounds?

Learning Tasks:

  1. Do Now– Copy down today’s homework assignment in your planner. Get out your ISN and add to the Table of Contents- “Instruments Investigation p.23” (Right Side); Head page 23 properly with “Instruments Investigation- 10/30/17.”
  2. Investigation- Instrument stations- On ISN p.23, write a prediction: What do you think you will feel or see a drum or guitar doing when they make sound? Make a T-chart for a data table on ISN p.23. Strike/pluck each instrument lightly and make & record observations in data table as you move from station to station.
  3. Investigation- Observe slow motion video of instruments (guitar, snare drum, tuning fork) being struck/plucked & record observations in data table.
