Learning Tasks:

  1. Do Now- Get out your science notebook and add to the Table of Contents- “Water Investigation-p.39” (Right Side). Head page 39 properly with “Water Investigation-1/8/18.”
  2. Investigation– Does water hold together well or come apart easily? Discuss the following: Our driving question is How do different types of matter get their characteristics? And we are using oobleck and its unique characteristics as an example. But what do you think matter is? What are the three common types of matter on Earth? What are some examples of matter? Set up the investigation on page 39. Model the procedure. Record your observations on page 39 in a sketch and in notes. Trim and tape the procedure as a flip page to page 39.
